Structure Borne

Acoustic Curbs and Bases

We supply a wide range of engineered RTU curbs, mounting channels, steel bases and concrete inertia bases for a variety of applications.

Rooftop Unit & Seismic Curbs

Rooftop Unit & Seismic Curbs

Our Rooftop Spring Isolation Curb (RSC) offers state-of-the-art rooftop unit (RTU) vibration control. By incorporating springs with 3/4”, 1 1/2” or 2 1/2” minimum specified deflection into our structural steel curbs, we provide systems designers with the freedom they need to position equipment for maximum efficiency without worrying about noise and vibration transmission.

Steel Channels

Our Type RND rails are furnished with double deflection neoprene mountings bolted to the web. All of our metal mounting parts are neoprene covered to avoid corrosion, while also providing a bottom-friction surface. While they do not need to be bolted to a floor, bolt holes are provided for those areas where bolting is specified. Our RND rails are used to extend equipment bases, eliminating over-hand and improving weight distribution on the mountings in situations where close-coupled pumps or utility sets are employed. They may also be used to reinforce bases that require supplementary stiffening between mounting locations.

Fan and Motor Bases

Our integral structural steel bases are designed for long-term performance and stability, with rectangular bases the preferred option for all equipment. Our centrifugal refrigeration machines and pump bases may be T or L shaped, while our bases for split case pumps are adequate to support suction and discharge elbows. All perimeter members are steel beams with a minimum depth equal to 1/10 of the longest dimension of the base. Importantly, base depth does not need to exceed 14” (350mm), assuming the deflection and misalignment is kept within acceptable limits as determined by manufacturer specifications. Height-saving brackets are employed across fan and motor base mounting locations to provide a base clearance of 1” (25mm), while all of our bases are type WF.

Applications

  • End suction pump bases
  • Double suction pump bases
  • Vertical pump bases
  • Closed Coupled pump bases
  • Centrifugal pump bases
  • Tubular fan bases

Type of Frame

  • M – Lightweight Frame
  • WF – Structural Beam Frame
  • GS – Government Specification Frame
  • K – Concrete Intertia Base

Bolted Modular Bases

Parklane’s range of high-quality structural steel Bolted Modular Bases are designed for a wide range of applications, with rectangular bases the preferred option for virtually all mechanical equipment. Our centrifugal refrigeration machine and pump bases may be T or L shaped, while our bases for split case pumps are large enough to support suction and discharge elbows. Steel beam perimeter members feature a minimum depth equal to 1/10 of the longest dimension of the base. Note that the depth of our Bolted Modular Bases does not need to exceed 14” (350mm) if the deflection and misalignment is kept within acceptable limits as determined by the manufacturer. Height saving brackets are deployed in all mounting locations to provide a base clearance of 1” (25mm), while all of our bases are type WF.
